Israel Stem Cell Research Society
Our research unit is focussing on stem cell research, specifically stem cells from our own fat tissue. Our subcutaneous fat which is abundant (more in some of us than others!) and easily accessible has an amazing amount of stem cells in high concentration. Surprisingly, these cells when concentrated and re-injected, have the ability to cure some of our own diseases and conditions. Our research unit is dedicating itself full time to investigate the potential of this cutting edge technology. Specifically, starting now with pre-clinical in depth scientific work, we will in the next phase start studying clinical applications such as stem cells for arthritis. We are just about to begin our pre-clinical work, and need some specific equipment to get started. Please help us with this important work.

Genesis Orthopedic Research uses the donations directly for research. We obtained federal tax-free status without the expense of an attorney. The website cost was only for hosting. Our pledge is that the money you donate will go directly to research and not to administrative costs.

The salary for a research assistant including hospital overhead and required benefits is about $2800 per month. That means, that if donate the full amount, you can sponsor one full month of work for the research assistant. If you wish, you can choose which month and we will send you an update once a week as to the progress made during the month that you sponsor.
We have projects in progress and some ready to start (see below). With a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from MIT, and 20 years of experience as a surgeon, we are doing interesting and meaningful research.
